Zon was born to the typical Nausican family.  He had twelve other brothers and sisters himself being the oldest.  Being so and showing signs of intelligence (at least for a Nausican which isn't saying that much) he was sent to a special school offworld.  There he spent most of his life learning not only combat skills but also the higher skills of Nausica.  He finshed that school and went to the Nausican millitaryacademy earning full honors.  He joined the Nausican military at the age of 21.

He spent his career making a reputation for his guile as well as his strength earning the promotion to Major serving under General Ranro on the NMU Watergod till the Nausican government accepted federation membership during the Dominion war.  Since then he has spent his time recieving tactical information and training on Federation ship so he can serve aboard then after the disbandment of the NMU.

Notes:  Zon isn't the typical hothead Nuasican but his knowledge in other areas than combat are limited.
