Micheal was born to lower-middle class parents. He completed his education while working for his parents as a boy. His father wanted him to take over the family business but Micheal didn't want to on account of the business having shady practices. (Claims that the company is in no way "legitimate" have yet to be proven). Micheal joined the academy after getting sponsored by a Starfleet Captain who had befriended him as a boy and had taken to him. The Captain wanted to give Micheal an option later on in life. Has been exposed to many different environments and cultures and can speak 3 different languages: Klingonese, Ferengi and Orion.
Started working for Jamal's Import/Export Services at the age of 16. Served for 5 years in various duties ranging from: Piloting, Operations and maintenance of numerous vessels of the company (He has learned a lot about different ships and their functions). Studied the Klingon Martial Arts from an old Klingon Warrior working for the company. Has numerous, unlisted "skills" that he learned in order to survive the many shady, dangerous and uncouth characters and business transactions while working for the company. Entered Starfleet at the age of 22 and because of his extensive background was able to major in Operations and Command while minoring in Engineering, Piloting and Sciences (Physics and Math based). Is very adept in Math and Physics and has an eidetic (photographic) memory.
